Add predefined values to your template

Predefined values consist of a collection of key-value pairs applicable across all document templates. These values enable automatic population of merge fields within the document template, eliminating the need for user input. For instance, information such as company name and address can be designated as predefined values, facilitating the automatic insertion of these details when generating a new document. Modifications made to these predefined values will be reflected in all subsequent documents where these values are employed as merge fields within the template.

For admins: If you have an owner or administrator role you can add or manage predefined values in the workspace. Manage predefined values in workspace.

Select a predefined value from a list

To add a predefined value to your template do the following:

  • Select a merge field on your template
  • On the right side select "Predefined value" option.
  • Choose a predefined value from a list and click "Done".

If you do not have any predefined values in your workspace, simply click on the "Manage predefined values" link.
